A WALK OF THE LAND

THE ISRAEL NATIONAL TRAIL

by

A personal crisis invoked by the 2014 war in Gaza has motivated Udi to set out on a two and a half months journey through the Israel trail. The 700-mile long trek stretches from Israel's Lebanese border up north all the way south to Eilat, on the Egyptian border. It is world-renowned as one of the world’s best and toughest long distance hikes.

Udi will be taking you with him to experience Israel outside of the headlines and the friction and to hear first hand about my physical and mental journey from despair to a newly found hope. The people, the national monuments, the mountains, the creeks and the Israeli landscapes- you’ll encounter them all!

Udi is the first professional still photographer to have walked and documented the trail in its entirety and the creator of the first-ever photo book about the journey on the trail!

Additional Programs

Between Yom Hazikaron

and Yom Ha’atzmaut:

Israel’s Memorial Day and Independence Day are a unique phenomenon as they were set on consecutive days.
The need to fight for Israel’s establishment and safety is prominent in Israeli politics and everyday life.

The program includes a discussion about Israeli history and society in regards to safety and security, military service, conceptions and societal norms.

This talk is meant for both sides of the political spectrum, making them ask questions while giving them tools and ideas on how to answer them.

The many layers of Jerusalem:

2017 marked 50 years to the Six-day War and going back to the old city of Jerusalem and the Jewish holy sites.

The talk takes an in-depth look at this remarkable city, discussing different aspects and perspectives: spiritual / earthly, East / West, religious / secular, old / new, different religions, etc. It will make sense of all the scattered information people might have about the city, giving them a logical and cohesive idea of one of the oldest cities in the world.

The talk is accompanied by Udi’s photography and video and by high quality graphics.

The talk fits all ages 6 and up.
